Alpha Psi
Lambda-National, Inc. Zeta Chapter Scholarship
To be eligible, a student must fulfill the following
criteria:
- Must be Latino/a Must be a first generation student
- Not receive funds from FAFSA
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
- Must be a high school senior or be a current student at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution
- Plan to attend University of Illinois at Chicago in the fall of 2016 as a full-time student
Requirements
- A copy of your high school/college transcript
- Must provide proof of enrollment into the University of Illinois at Chicago
- One letter of recommendation
Create a personal statement 250 words or less answering
the following questions:
1) Tell us about one good quality that you possess.
2) As a Latino, how much pressure (if any) do you feel to
be successful?
3) What struggles have you encountered being Latino/a and
how have you overcome them? Think about your education and lifestyle struggles.
4) What is your career goal and why?
All entries must be submitted by May 15, 2016 and must be
sent to either of the following:
- Via email to zetascholarship93@gmail.com with the subject line title as “Scholarship Submission”
- Name your document with your last and first name; for example, SanchezDaniella.
